Annual Bake Sale during Autumn Artistry
The need to send MORE kids to camp was addressed by the congregation of First Baptist Church for the first time in 2018. All agreed to donate time and baked goods to help raise funds for this cause. A bake sale was suggested to be held during a community event called Autumn Artistry in which many local Osage businesses display their wares in a street-fair type setting. The church set up an awning to cover two tables that were overflowing with baked goods, (i.e., homemade baked bread, cinnamon rolls, pies and mini-pies, mini loaves of quick breads, mini muffins, cookies, apple butter, and even gluten-free brownies). Participation in this sale generated $279.31 with another $20.69 in pledged donations. Two separate businesses agreed to store leftover baked goods in their break rooms in order to continue the sale until all items sold and funds disbursed.
We thanked God for making this event a huge success; and we thanked the communities of Osage and Austin for their generosity!
Now in 2019, the congregation once again faces the daunting challenge of attempting to raise more funds than were raised last year! We are few, but yet there are those who are willing to give of their time and finances in order to make this year an even bigger success! Would you consider donating cookies, bars, or any baked item to help and send even one more child to camp?

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THIS YEAR'S EVENT! WE RAISED $145 DURING THE 4-HOUR FUNDRAISER, IN SPITE OF GLOOMY AND RAINY WEATHER! THE LEFT-OVER GOODIES WILL BE PLACED IN THE STYLE LOUNGE BREAK ROOM IN AUSTIN WITH AN 'HONOR-SYSTEM' DONATION JAR IN ORDER TO REACH AS MANY FOLKS AS POSSIBLE. AN UPDATED TOTAL WILL BE POSTED.

All proceeds from this year's event will be applied to the 2020 church camp fund. Receipts will be mailed promptly for all donations. Important: The cost to send one child to camp is $300. Thank you for your support of our youth and for making this once-in-a-lifetime experience a reality! May God bless you for your generous giving!
